Gloss white units replaced with matte graphite doors and a veined quartz worktop, reusing the existing carcasses.
The layout worked; the finish had dated badly. Rather than rip out sound carcasses we replaced every door, drawer front and cornice, fitted a veined quartz worktop and island top, and reset the lighting circuit. A full replacement was quoted at roughly three times the price — this is the version that made sense.
